My story

We are excited to introduce Jaxon and Basil, two littermates who were found on a rural road a few weeks ago. Luckily, the sister of their finder is deeply involved in the shelter and rescue community, helping match shelter dogs with rescues and adoptive families. Jaxon and Basil received the necessary care before being placed on the path to finding their forever homes. These sweet and friendly pups may have some Malinois in their mix. However, many times, the DNA test results obtained by adopters have surprised us, revealing that our additional breed guesses can be quite off when it comes to our shepherd puppies. Sometimes a puppy that looks like a shepherd mix is pure bred and other times a pure bred looking shepherd has other breeds in its DNA.  We love them all.  Jaxon is currently living with a male and female shepherd who enjoy guiding puppies until they are adopted. Both Jaxon and Basil have adapted well to their foster homes after a smooth transition. Both pups ride easily in cars in their respective crates.  Jaxon is a confident pup both at home and out in public, he had a great visit to the nursery where he was friendly and outgoing with everyone he met. And who can resist a tail waggin pup in public. Jaxon loves to play with the resident female shepherd since she's the younger of the two resident shepherds.  He loves cuddles anda affection, eager to please his people. His crate training is dialed in at night, sleeping all night in his crate and he's practicing being crated during the day for downtimes and naps.  Jaxon has a predictable potty schedule which helps to train him to alert.  We look forward to updating their bios with all their foster families are learning about them.  Have you checked out our YouTube channel? We would greatly appreciate your support by subscribing, liking, and commenting on the videos we share of our adoptable shepherds in action. You can also follow us on Instagram and Facebook, where we post plenty of news and updates about our shepherds. As a foster-based rescue, ShepHeroes is always in need of fosters. There are many shepherds in our local shelters whorequire our help for a fresh start. Would you be willing to open your home and share part of your life to help these dogs find new families? You provide the love, and we will provide everything else! Saying "yes" today truly saves a life. Complete this https://www.shepheroes.org/foster-form, and we will be in touch as soon as possible. We appreciate your consideration. ##2424462##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Jaxon, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
