My story

Chunk | DOB: 3/27/21 | 75 pounds | Dog Friendly | Kids & Cats Unknown | Meet Chunk! This 4-year-old guy has come a long way since being rescued by animal control officers in Illinois back in March. Although his past was rough, Chunk is now thriving and showing off his fun, silly personality more every day. He will need slow intros if you have another dog, but he would happily be your only one! Chunk is full of charm and ready to find a loving home where he can continue to blossom. With his great personality and affectionate nature, he’s sure to bring joy to the right family! Here is what a volunteer had to say about Chunk on a recent Doggy Day Out: " He wasn’t very interested in toys, maybe as because it was a new setting. We ran, and we played together. He’s very gentle when playing, but does jump VERY high. He took 3 pieces of cheese out of my hand very gently, and knew to sit. He didn’t bark/growl at the neighbors or their dog either, he seemed very interested in the dog though. He’s always so excited. He’s very hyper at first, but then he calms down. I’ve never had any issues with handling him. He’s never once bit me, barked, or growled. He’s the sweetest boy ever!" Chunk is available for foster, foster-to-adopt or adoption!
