My story

LunaI hope that those of you who like tabby cats with a medium-length coat will stop to read my interview. I am an 8-year-old girl with grayish green eyes and a wistful little face. When I was an 11-month-old kitten, I was adopted by a family who already had an older male cat. I`m sad to say he bullied me, often putting me on my back and standing over me. It`s no wonder that I began feeling stress and anxiety. I was also afraid of the dogs in the house and would try to avoid them. If they got close, I would give them my scariest hiss, but they didn`t seem frightened at all! I lived in this home for seven years, but fortunately, I haven`t had to live with the dogs or cat in the last three years. My owner has very complimentary things to say about me. I love receiving attention. I will sit on your lap or lie down with you. I even let you pick me up. I was tolerant of the 3-year-old child in the home, although if he played rough with me, I`d swat at him. I love crunchy treats and rolling in catnip. Although I am not very active, I do enjoy playing with string toys. My coat can become matted if I am not brushed, so my owner had me shaved once a year. Yuck! I don`t like that one bit. When the interviewer lady (IL) opened my condo door, I immediately allowed her to pet me. She whispered to me that my coat was as soft as a bunny, which made me happy to hear. I began purring and turned my back to her, allowing her to give me a good massage. I liked this activity so much I started making biscuits on the floor. The medical staff found that I have sensitive skin and do best on a Hill`s Science Diet Z/D food for chronic allergies. I have never outgrown my anxious personality, so I will likely thrive in a calm, quiet home with minimal stress.
