My story

The gemstone ruby symbolizes love, passion, vitality and strength. We think the cat Ruby embodies these qualities just as well! Ruby is a sweetheart who will trot right up to meet you. She is playful and has plenty of love to give - and she’ll let you know it! Although she loves attention, Ruby can become overstimulated with too much handling, and would appreciate an adopter who can respect her boundaries. After all, sometimes a stunning gem should just be admired. Ruby came to Tabby’s Place from another shelter after being diagnosed with diabetes, and needs some special care to keep her feeling her best. She would do well in a quiet environment, and while she has lived with other cats before, she would much prefer to be the only feline in your home. We’re sure you’ll agree - Ruby rocks.
