My story

Iandamp;#39;m not nearly as big as the Lion in The Wizard of Oz&#44 but I might be just as cowardly. Hi Iandamp;#39;m Frisky&#44 and I was recently transferred to Great Plains from another shelter located in the great state of Arkansas. My owner passed away&#44 and there was no place else for me to go. The shelter staff there saw such potential in me&#44 and they hoped by gettinandamp;#39; me on the bus to Kansas City&#44 I might have a better chance of finding a great new home.andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Iandamp;#39;m a little guy&#44 just 22 pounds soaking wet. I was a bit of a pudge when I was surrendered&#44 but Iandamp;#39;ve lost a few pounds&#44 and Iandamp;#39;m back to looking like the Min Pin I am! Once I take a big gulp and a deep breath&#44 I meet new people and Iandamp;#39;m more confident. Itandamp;#39;s hard being so little and losing your home and family&#44 and then you have to travel a long way all alone to try to find your place in this world. Iandamp;#39;m a wiggly&#44 friendly guy&#44 and Iandamp;#39;ve even been described as a bit of a couch potato. Thatandamp;#39;s probably because being cuddled and snuggled makes me feel safe and loved. And I miss that feeling.andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Iandamp;#39;m good on walks but right now Iandamp;#39;m still hesitant. Things are so new! I need confidence&#44 just like the Cowardly Lion. I was introduced to another dog here at the shelter&#44 and I was so unsure when the first thing he did was a playbow! All I could think of to do was tremble. The other dog sensed I was uncomfortable&#44 so they just ignored me&#44 and I was able to hide my embarrassment and find a spot to just stretch out and relax. I bet as time passes&#44 Iandamp;#39;ll get more comfortable around another dog. Iandamp;#39;d get more confidence with one I hear.andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;So thatandamp;#39;s my story up to this point in time. My story is only half written. I have so many years ahead of me&#44 and I know deep in my heart that I can bring a lot of love and joy to my new family. I just need someone to see past the nerves and want to give me a home where I can blossom. If you have kids at home&#44 would you bring them to meet me if you are considering adopting me? All I need is a chance for my personality to come out - and it will shine&#44 I promise you! Be my chance&#44 will ya?andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Love from Frisky
