My story

Holland is a stunning dilute orange domestic shorthair with a firecracker spirit and a heart that’s worth earning. She’s a bit unsure of the world at first and takes her time warming up—but once you’re in her trusted circle, you’ll see her sweet, affectionate side shine through. She’s a cat who knows what she likes, and she’s not afraid to tell you when you’ve overstepped. Respect her boundaries, and you’ll gain a loyal companion. Holland would do best in a calm home with older, cat-savvy kids who understand when to give her space. She’s open to living with other cats, but only if they give her room and don’t push her buttons. Bonus points if you come bearing treats—Holland is very food motivated and can often be won over with the promise of something tasty. If you’re looking for a cat with character, honesty, and a love for snacks, Holland just might be your perfect match. Meet and greet/adoption appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. All our cats and kittens have an "Adopt one and the 2nd at half the adoption fee!" bonus!!! Our kitten/cat adoption fees vary on age, special needs, lonely heart status (cats that have been with us 6+ months), and for our senior to seniors program. Our adoption fees include the following: all of our cats/kittens are current on vaccinations (FVRCP series and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), treated for fleas/ticks/earmites in addition to being spayed or neutered once the cat reaches 2 lbs in weight. All cats and kittens adopted from the shelter are microchipped. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all cats leaving the shelter be in a carrier. All pets are up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee is paid.
