My story

We have a transport where we will be personally taking our dogs home leaving on 6/14/25 to NorCal and OR. Surrounding states will be added to our route if needed ☺️ We would love to add these two to our trip for the right home 💕 Meet our gorgeous Cavapoo siblings Flora, and Fitz! First and foremost, no! We are not adopting them out together, unless you of course have the time, space, energy, and love for both ❤️ They are great together, but equally great apart and will thrive in their new homes no matter what 😊 They are 8.5 months of age. They turn 1 on 9/26/24. They are Cavalier King Charles and miniature poodle mixes. They have the poodle coat, and are hypoallergenic ❤️ They are both fixed, current on their 1 year vaccines, microchipped, and have been cleared by our vet to find a home all their own. They are crate trained, and currently sleep in their crate at night, or during the day to nap (by choice) and do very well in there. They are very well conditioned to being in a crate when needed so whatever the use may be in their next home, they will be just fine with! They are doing VERY well with house training, and will go outside to use the restroom every 3-4 hours when asked to if they need to. They haven't had any accidents inbetween that schedule, and sleep through the whole night without having to go out as well so I recommend a good schedule in their next home as they both seem to appreciate having a solid routine. The one area of training they will need work in is leash training. We have begun getting them used to collars, and harnesses but with this current heat wave we are in, they haven't recieved much leash time outside of our home. They are smart and will definitely catch on when the weather is cooler for them to do so. I'll be a fun experience for both them, and their new families! They are wonderful with other dogs, and cats alike. They are very playful, so if you have another sweet friend to join them in life; they will be happy about that! If not, and you are looking to be their friend I'm certain you'll be all they need as well. They are very personable with their people, and love to be snuggled, and doted on so being the only pet would be something they would welcome ❤️ They are very well behaved in the home, and listen well. Training has been going amazing for them, as they look forward to pleasing you just for snuggles alone (no treats needed!!) They aren't huge foodies, so finding a good treat has been quite the task that they actually enjoy but if they are good with snuggles in the form of being good pups then we are good with that arrangement too 😉 They are not barkers but will alert you of unfamiliar noises. Flora is definitely more alert than Fitz, but both listen well when told you have it under control. They are amazing on road trips of any length, as we have gotten them used to riding around town and they love going "bye bye." So it's been fun incorporating them into small tasks when we can! They are wonderful at the groomers, and enjoy a good spa day. They are always super excited seeing their humans faces upon pick up and if you listen close enough the rapid tail wags speak for themselves ❤️😊 They came to us from a young woman who thought she could handle both pups together along with their parents (she owned both parents) but decided afterwards that it was best we helped her find them a good home (whether together or seperate.) In turn we spayed mom and neutered dad for her. Mom only had the two puppies, and financially their owner just wasn't in a position to vet all of them so we happily helped her with that on both ends. These two are very special and sweet souls waiting to find their happily ever after so if you have been patiently waiting for a new friend (or two) then your wait has come to an end!!! Their adoption fee is on our website under their adoption listing. We post it there to encourage all adopters to learn about who we are, and the work we do outside of just reading one of our adoption listings ❤️ https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/flora-and-fitz Fitz is neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines, had three baby teeth removed that hadn't fallen out on their own, was given an antibiotic injection to aid in the healing of his neuter, had an ear cleaning, and was treated for a double ear infection (which is cleared up now!) Flora is spayed, current on vaccines, microchipped, was given an antibiotic injection to aid in the healing of her spay, had the hair in her ears plucked, had an ear cleaning, had both ears treated for a double ear infection (which are also healed,) had 1 baby tooth removed that hadn't fallen out on its own, and was in heat at time of spay so she incurred an in heat spay increase due to longer anesthesia time. Both have been thourerly examined, and cleared by our vet to find homes all their own ❤️ As always their adoption fees also go back into the months of care they have recieved, their grooming costs, and the training we have personally done with them ❤️

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Fitz and Flora, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
