#A5701817 Meet Pepper , a 1-year-old terrier mix and the cutest little mop of fluff you’ve ever seen, with rich chocolate eyes peeking out from her perfectly curly-whirly fringe! While she may not show her best self in the kennel (shelter stress is real!), don’t be fooled - out in the yard, she transforms into a spunky, sassy little flirt full of zest and charm. Sweet, perky, and full of energy, Pepper packs a huge personality into her tiny frame. She’d thrive with some confidence-building, whether that’s through learning the ropes from a calm, older dog sibling, or group training classes where she can blossom and socialize. Given her age, Pepper would really benefit from all the puppy basics. Don’t worry though: she’s already potty trained, walks great on leash, and takes treats oh-so-gently - so she’s well on her way to becoming the bestest girl with just a little guidance. Pepper is ready to bring her sass, sweetness, and snuggles into your life! -1 year 1 month old black and white Terrier -16 pound spayed female -may need the standard round of shots and preventatives before she goes home with you, but the shelter can likely help with this! -came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 5/23/25 -darling little fluffy mop of a pup, whose rich chocolate eyes just barely peek out from behind a perfectly curly whirly fringe -does not present well in the kennel due to the stress of the shelter, but don't let that put you off! once this girl is out and about in the play yard, she turns out to be a totally spunky, sassy flirt -sweet, perky, and energetic, Pepper brings a TON of big, bold personality in a tiny package -to be her best self, she could use some confidence building - this could come in the form of an older pup sibling you might already have, to show her the ropes, or it could be group training classes or other structured opportunities to socialize with other doggos -an easy addition to any family - Pepper has an eager to please personality, plus loves treats and takes them gently, so she will be a quick learner when it comes to all the puppy training basics (fortunately, she's already good on leash and potty trained, so it's just the basic commands and behavioral training that she'll need) PEPPER’S VIDEO: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/jniVuTpL9HU For more information, contact volunteer Lisa at lisaa@unitedhopeforanimals.org ------- United Hope for Animals (UHA) is a volunteer group and does not have a facility for animals.
