My story

Meet Stonewall, a 10-pound, 6 ½-year-old Yorkie-Dachshund mix with a gentle soul and a cautious heart. Stonewall came to us as a stray alongside two companions and has clearly lived a life with very little human interaction. Because of this, he’s quite undersocialized and still learning that people can be safe and kind. He’s especially fearful of the leash, so we’re taking things very slowly and gently with his training. He can be reactive and standoffish at first, but don’t let that fool you—once you spend time simply hanging out nearby, he begins to soften. With patience and consistency, his sweet side starts to shine through. Stonewall just needs someone who’s willing to let him come around on his own terms and build trust at his pace. He’s currently working on his potty training and could use some guidance and routine to help him succeed. He does well with other dogs and will need a calm, confident canine friend to show him the ropes. Stonewall isn’t the kind of dog who will greet you with wagging tails on day one—but if you’re someone who believes in second chances and knows how rewarding it is to earn a fearful dog’s trust, this little guy could be your perfect match. Adoption fee is: $375 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee. Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs. EIN # 46-5486022
