My story

A staff member says this about me: Nugget is the definition of sweet and silly. 🐶✨ He got some much-deserved outdoor time today with his brother, Dave, and it was a joy to watch their bond in action. Nugget leashed up easily and walked beautifully by my side, staying close and checking in often—what we lovingly call a classic “velcro dog.” In the kennel, Nugget is calm and collected, but once he's out in the yard with his brother, he lights up with playful energy. He has a spotless kennel and goes potty right away when outside, which tells us he’s likely house-trained—bonus points for that! This goofy guy has a big personality and isn’t afraid to show it. He’s always game for some fun, happy to share his toys, and often mirrors whatever his brother is doing—whether it's playing or chilling under the canopy watching the rain fall. He’s got that "wherever-you-go-I-go" energy that’s impossible not to love. While he can show a bit of barrier reactivity on the way back in, he responds well to gentle redirection and is eager to please. With a little consistency and love, Nugget is going to make an incredibly loyal and affectionate companion. If you’re looking for a cuddly shadow who will stick by your side—and keep you smiling along the way—Nugget might just be your perfect match. 🧡
