My story

Izzy Jay A17550736 lb. spayed female, approx 2 years old -Loved doing zoomies and playing with toys in the yard-She’s spunky and fun!-Also knows how to settle in for pets and belly rubs-Likes treats, sits and takes them gently-She got a much-needed spa day! It wasn’t exactly her favorite activity, but she was such a good sport and handled it like a champ. Now she’s extra soft, extra clean, and still just as cute!-Pulls quite a bit on leash but is better with a harness-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper introsUnknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids•Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt •Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. •Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. •There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. •To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.** •The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-5:30 **1431 E Ferry St. Detroit
