My story

If you're looking for a playmate for you cat as well as a cuddly, feisty companion, then Daphne is just right for you. With a tendency to play with cats, kittens, and people alike, she tends to blur the lines a bit, often initiating play with people as if they were a fellow cat. She would be ideal for older teens rather than small children, as she likes to ride on shoulders and jump at arms. While she does get mouthy, its never enough to really hurt or leave a mark, but it might spook a small child. She loves to wrestle with other cats and absolutely loves toys. She's had several kittens, and where she came from all of the moms would swap kittens. Now spayed, she will no longer have to be a mother again, but that doesn't stop her from adopting just about anyone who wanders up to her. Overall, she absolutely loves attention and demands it. She's got quite the meow, too! Used to being outside, it's recommended to keep a close eye on her when opening doors, as she's gotten used to living indoors, but sometimes gets a little curious. With proper enrichment and playtime, though, she will make a perfect companion for someone out there. ***************PLEASE READ THIS FOR NEXT STEPS**************** COMPLETED APPLICATIONS TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER INQUIRIES. If you are interested in adopting, the FIRST step is to complete an application. Please note that our animals are rescued and transported from South Mississippi where major animal overpopulation means less homes. We only transport them once adopted, in most instances, we can be available for a video call once an application has been approved. We are USDA certified, and WE PERSONALLY TRANSPORT OUR OWN adopted animals to meet their new families. We transport every 2-3 weeks. Our adoption fee includes the spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, Microchip, heartworm tested, Mississippi Health Certificate, and the transport service to get the new family pet to you ***Breed input is required for each platform but is not guaranteed to be accurate. We do not DNA test. We rescue animals from different situations. We discuss breed assignments with our vets to label them as accurately as possible.*** We are currently unable to adopt pets to ME and RI residents.
