This is Burton checking in. I’m a silky black and white cat, and I am ready to find my forever home! I’m the ultimate lap cat — seriously, I would sit criss-cross-applesauce in your lap all day long if you let me. Any time my foster mom has a spare moment, I’m climbing into her lap to snuggle in for a long, relaxing session. You can scroll through this page to see tons of pics of me being my adorable self. I’ve got a serious soft spot for wet food (any kind will do!), and when you look into my eyes — the most brilliant shade of green — I promise you’ll be smitten. I’m really just looking for a home that can give me the love, attention, and daily pets I’ve been dreaming of. I’d thrive in a home with adults or older kids who understand I can be a little sensitive at times. Sudden movements or being picked up can scare me — I wasn’t treated very kindly in the past, so being lifted into the air isn’t my favorite thing. That said, it might sound funny, but I do love climbing into laps on my own! I just like to be in control of the cuddles. I would also do really well in a home with another friendly cat — I enjoy having a feline buddy around and get along great with my fellow kitties. If you’ve got a cozy lap and a heart ready to love, I’d love to meet you. My foster mom says I’m very easy to handle when it comes to things like vet visits — just show me a Churu or a spoonful of wet food, and I’m game! Burton’s adoption fee is $135.
