My story

Meet Barbie 💗 Barbie has come a long way since being rescued from a hoarding situation where she lived as a free-roaming dog with little structure or care. At first, she was terrified—running from people and unsure of the world around her. But now that she’s in a safe and stable environment, her true personality is starting to shine. Barbie is sweet, affectionate, and eager to bond once she knows you’re a safe person. She warms up quickly and will happily nuzzle up beside you or gently nose-boop your hand when she’s ready for love. She may be shy at first, but once she lets you in, she’ll love you with her whole heart. Despite her past, Barbie is fully housetrained and even lets you know when she needs to go out—proof that she likely spent time in a home at some point in her life. She loves rolling in the grass, soaking up the sunshine, and enjoying the simple joys of outdoor time. Barbie is dog-friendly and does best with calm, respectful dogs who give her space to open up at her own pace. She loves to mirror the resident dog in her foster home, taking cues from them to know what’s safe and okay to do. Barbie may be a little nervous during her first couple of days in a new home, but with patience and gentleness, she’ll blossom into a devoted companion. Barbie is looking for a foster or adopter who can give her the stability and kindness she needs to continue growing. She just needs a chance—and we promise, she’ll steal your heart. 💞
