My story

Say hello to Luke — a 55-pound hound mix with a heart full of love, joy, and sunshine! ☀️ This sweet boy came to us from a hoarding situation in Patrick County, but you’d never guess he spent years outside. From the moment he arrived, he’s been all tail wags, gentle kisses, and pure happiness. Luke LOVES everyone he meets — people, dogs, kids — and he’s the kind of dog who would fit into any home. Families, couples, singles... he’s not picky. He just wants someone to love on! While in foster Luke has quickly learned the art of indoor living. He’s a bit of a bed hog, but those big brown eyes make it pretty impossible to say no. He’s still a hound at heart, though, and lives for walks, grassy sniff sessions, and sunbathing. And while his zoomies are already pretty amazing, he’d love a fenced yard to work on perfecting them – practice makes perfect, ya know! Oh — and don’t tell him he’s 55 pounds... he’s convinced he’s a lap dog. 🐶 Luke is house trained, crate trained, great on leash, and an expert snuggler. Honestly?
