My story

Looking for a new best friend? Well my name is Pretzel and I may just be the perfect choice for you. I am sweet, affectionate and smart -- a combination that can't be beat. I came to the shelter as a local stray and am now ready to find my forever home. I can be a little timid when meeting new people, but I warm up pretty quickly. You just need to go slow with me and let me get to know you at my own pace. Once I get to know you, you will see me for the affectionate dog that I am. I will lean into you when I am ready for some well-deserved pets and scratches. And because I want all of you love and attention for myself, I would do best being the only dog in the home. I am also at a really good age as I am way past the puppy stage but still young enough to enjoy outdoor activities with you. I do a great sit on cue and am very gentle when taking treats. I like going on walks and have been told that I have pretty good leash manners. In addition to my winning personality, I am quite the beauty, sporting a stunning red coat and eyes that will melt your heart. As I am a long-haired dog, I am going to need regular brushings to keep me at my best. But that will be a great bonding experience for the two of us.
