🐾 Meet Dave – A Gentle Heart Who’s Ready to Love and Be Loved 🐶 🌿 About Dave ✔️ Breed: Chihuahua mix ✔️ Age: 2 years, 3 months ✔️ Weight: 18 lbs ✔️ Neutered and healthy – no known medical issues ✔️ Color: Black & White 🌿 Personality Dave is a sweet, affectionate boy who just needs a little time to warm up. Once he feels safe, he blossoms into a loving companion—rubbing against your side in the morning, snuggling into your arms, and sharing his gentle affection with all his heart. He prefers women slightly more at first but quickly warms up to men as well. He’s polite around children but tends to keep to himself. 🌿 Social Skills 🐶 Gets along well with other dogs—especially thrives with a friendly companion 🏡 Can live in an apartment or a house with a yard (a yard would be ideal for his potty needs!) 🧍‍♀️🧍‍♂️ Friendly with both men and women 👶 Neutral toward kids—calm and non-reactive 🌿 Training & Habits 🚽 Fully potty trained for outdoor use (100% for poops, working on pees!) 🛏 Crate trained and uses it as his safe space when needed 🚗 Rides well in the car—even on long trips 🐾 No leash reactivity, and no destructive behavior 🍽 Eats Stella & Chewy’s/Orijen and uses a slow feeder bowl 🛁 Great with grooming, brushing, and tooth brushing—just a little shy of the blow dryer! 🌿 Other Notes ✅ Not a barker—very quiet in his foster home ✅ Can be handled and enjoys cuddles (though he may be slightly startled if touched unexpectedly on the back) ✅ No food aggression ✅ No signs of being a flight risk when using a martingale collar and proper harness 🌱 Ideal Home Dave would thrive in a calm, loving environment—ideally with another friendly dog to keep him company and help build his confidence. Whether you live in an apartment or a house with a yard, Dave is adaptable.
