My story

Meow! My name is Mama Ruth but my foster mom and dad call me Ruthie. I have been in my foster home for awhile with my 5 babies. Yes, 5! Motherhood was quite an ordeal at first, but things got better after I was left in a kennel near a liquor store, with my babies. KC Pet Project rescued us and got us into this great foster home where we didn`t have to worry about our safety or having plenty to eat. I am so grateful! Now 4 of my babies have gotten their furever home and I`m sure the last one, Caleeko, who is so beautiful, but needs to gain a little weight, will get her furever home soon as well.I have a bit of a `special need,` so they say. I have a mild case cerebellar hypoplasia, also known as `wobbly cat syndrome.` The part of my brain that controls stability didn`t develop properly before I was born. It`s really not a big deal, as you can see in my video. I have no pain from it, it won`t get worse, it`s not contagious, requires no medicine or treatment, and I can live a normal life and lifespan. But it does mean I should stay inside as I might not be able to get away from a mean dog or wild animal. I would want to live with very friendly dogs and cats who would be kind to me or to be an only pet. My foster parents have wood floors so sometimes I slide a little on them. They have a few rugs on the floors, which helps, but it doesn`t really bother me if I slide a little every now and then. So, please don`t worry about my `special needs.` Really I like to think of it as `special gives` because I will give you more love than you will believe, plus you can tell all your friends about how truly special I am!Thanks for stopping by and learning a little more about me. I hope you`ll want to become my furever family! I`ll be ready to come home with you on June 18th, which is soon! So be sure to email my foster mom if you want more information or would like to me, vickyfreese@sbcglobal.net.Purrs and kisses,Ruthie!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Ruth, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
