My story

Donald is a dog with a heart of gold, and unfortunately a kidney that’s a little high-maintenance. Diagnosed with stage 2 renal disease, he’s taking it all in stride, mostly because he thinks his prescription food is some kind of VIP room service. (Don’t tell him it’s low-protein. We’re trying to keep the illusion alive.) Despite his health journey, Donald lives each day with the gusto of a dog who just heard the cheese drawer open. He takes his meds like a champ (as long as they’re wrapped in something delicious), enjoys short walks followed by long naps, and is a firm believer that every visitor is here specifically to pet him. Donald’s here to remind us all that even when life throws you a curveball, it’s okay to drool a little and keep wagging. This pet is available through SICSA Pet Adoption & Wellness Center, located at 8172 Washington Church Road, Washington Township, OH 45458. We are open Monday through Saturday from 12pm-7pm.
