My story

DOB: March 7, 2023 Mongoose is a sweet, gentle cat who is learning to trust the world around him. While initially shy, he is friendly and food-motivated, and has started to show signs of playful curiosity as he settles into his foster home. Mongoose seems to enjoy the presence of other cats and while timid, would likely thrive in a calm home with a feline friend or on his own. He is a bit skittish and hides when there are abrupt movements, so it is not recommended for him to go to a home with children. He is currently not completely comfortable with being pet, but with the help of food, treats, and patience he is slowly coming around. Not much is known about Mongoose's history, as he was found as a stray. He is a bit fearful of humans at first and does not like to be cornered or restrained. Mongoose will need a patient adopter who understands the importance of giving him time and space to learn to trust humans. His comfort and confidence grow a little more each day, and he shows great potential to become a loving and playful companion once he feels safe. Mongoose has a healthy appetite and has no issues with using the litter box. He enjoys mouse toys, wand toys, and catnip. He feels the most brave when the sun goes down - earning him the nickname Midnight Mongoose. As his confidence grows, he is making more appearances during the day! He would appreciate having a quiet room where he can decompress and frolic at night while he gets his bearings in his new home. With a patient adopter, Mongoose will no doubt blossom into a loyal and affectionate kitty.
