My story

Belly Roll is an owner surrender from Bakersfield. He was part of an accidental litter living with a family in a broken down RV. Bakersfield shelters are overwhelmed with strays and surrenders, especially Chihuahuas. While the previous owners should have had their female dog spayed, they did the right thing by bringing him to a rescue. More from Belly Roll's foster: He is a sweet boy with a fun and enthusiastic spirit. He is always ready to play and has lots of energy, but also knows when to be chill. He is always ready for a new adventure where he can experience new smells and sights. He is good with kids and other pets, but can be a little shy around new people. Be ready to adopt. Adoptions can happen quickly so be prepared for our call, only apply for dogs that every family member in the home wants, and wait to apply until you return from your vacation. Please fill out our online application and our adoption counselor will reach out to you to discuss meeting your new family member. Please be aware if we have already approved another party for the dog you are interested in, you may not get a call from us.
