My story

Starr - Female - DOB- 2/12/2022 If ever there ever was a cat.... that needed an emotional support HUMAN.... Starr IS that cat. This Blue Eyed, Lynx Tabby, 3 year old female is VERY Sensitive to whom she allows into her inner circle. Should YOU be lucky enough to have Starr choose you, a lifetime of happiness will follow. However we need to make sure that all 'STARR'S' align before we can send her off to just anyone. Starr has had quite the life. She started out on the streets of Beatrice, NE as a baby. She was in and out of the local shelter until she was adopted. Once she was adopted, she was enjoying her best life until the most unimaginable thing could have happened...........Starr went on a walk down her apartment hallway and a fellow tenant/neighbor decided to take her in. We encourage you to stay kind, and please do not discriminate any parties involved with this wildly wacky story. For all intents and purposes, we are doing our best to get to the point of the story..... Starr was basically "taken in" by a neighboring apartment tenant many many months ago. Starr's previous and rightful owner suffered and grieved and accepted the loss of Starr....... and a few months ago.... Starr's previous owner adopted a new cat to love and care for. At the beginning of May, the "tenants/apartment neighbors" were moving out and decided to take Starr back to her rightful owner and basically said "We can't keep her anymore, so we will give her back now". WE WISH WE COULD MAKE THESE THINGS UP!!!!!!!!! For BOTH the animals and humans involved.... WE WISH this was a ridiculous story that we made up and lied about.......... it isn't. The previous (and true owner) of Starr reached out to NALA Rescue and emotionally asked for help and guidance. A little known fact about animal rescue is that we work with humans equally as much (if not more than) the time and effort we work with animals that make their way into our rescue. Ultimately it was decided that Starr's previous owner would keep the cat they adopted from NALA Rescue, and put their trust into NALA Rescue to find Starr the best home for her. So here we are!!!!!!!!!! Starr is an incredible cat. She is equal parts dignified and doofus. Starr is her best self when she has a small circle of humans she can trust. Chaos and a busy home life are not for her, Starr prefers a sleepy afternoon with a snack over running away and taking shelter from tiny humans and other pets. *Thank you for your interest in adopting one of our animals!
