My story

Meet Girly!Girly is about 3 years old and currently weighs in at 55lbs. She just got done nursing her (last!) litter of puppies and still needs to put on a little more weight to get to her ideal figure. She is mostly Husky with probably a little Turtle Mountain Mutt in the mix, but she sure acts and speaks ALL Husky! She can sound like a Wookie when she wants something or “sing” when she’s unhappy with the speed her meal is getting prepared. Her coat looks black and white at first glance, but she has a lot of brown shadings which becomes very apparent when one surveys the fallout from a good brushing. She is a very lovable girl that will happily roll over for a belly rub and just wants to be near you.Girly is kennel and house trained and will sprint into her kennel at the prospect of a treat. She quietly sleeps through the night but will start “singing” when the alarm goes off in the morning. Girly gets along great with other dogs; she wrestles and plays with the lab mix in her foster home and runs with the neighbor's smaller dog. She has learned to respect the cats in her foster home and not pester them too much other than follow them around if the opportunity presents itself.Girly is great on the leash unless she sees a squirrel, bunny or a cat, then she gets a bit excited. She is very food motivated and takes treats gently and has zero aggression issues around feeding or otherwise.Girly is also an awesome camping dog! After being leery of car rides at first, she has quickly found out that climbing into the vehicle will deliver her to her next adventure in the next campground. Last night she actually asked to go to bed - she sleeps in her kennel with us in our tent. Girly was so tired out from a busy day in the great outdoors!!!Girly is easygoing around people and great with children and not shy at all with strangers. She is spayed and UTD on all vaccinations, including rabies.Give this lovely girl a chance to be your family’s companion and you will fall head over heels for her!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt (bt) Girly, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
