My story

Justy is a sweet, 11-year-old furbaby looking for her forever retirement home! This pretty girl loves to be groomed and will ""bop"" your hand for face for you to keep petting/grooming her. Justy is blind (her eyes were removed while in rescue) and very aware of her peoples’ presence. She rests most of the time, and as soon as she hears your voice, she is moving her cute peanut head around waiting for you to come give her love. As a lovely senior lady, Justy is chill and enjoys relaxing for much of the day. She lives the princess life in her own private kitty room in her foster home, as we have a full house of dogs and cats and want her safe. Justy would thrive with someone looking for a companion cat that loves attention but who is not expecting playful nature—Justy is your ideal reading and couch companion! She can go to a home with or without cats; she lived most of her life with her bff Shadow, who passed away recently. Word has it that Justy LOVED to travel when she was with her original humans, Sylvia and Harry, who loved her very much. Sadly, Sylvia went into memory care recently, and Harry died suddenly a few months ago. A Minnesota-based snowbird couple, Sylvia and Harry would take Justy and Shadow with them on their road trips. Every year, the cats would be loaded into the family car as they traveled to California, Texas, and finally to Florida for a few weeks’ stay. Sylvia and Harry were always delighted at their wonderful travel companions. Justy and Shadow had access to a safe, screened-in, three-season patio in Minnesota, which they enjoyed very much. They were content to follow their humans from room to room. Justy was a bit more reserved than Shadow, due to her blindness, but once she recognized a friend, she would find a safe spot from which to “hide” and observe, while still being part of the action. Harvey always loved to tell the story about feeding time. He would just have to tap the bowls together and they would come right over, ready to eat. That made him smile so much. With Shadow over the rainbow bridge and Harry and Sylvia gone, Justy is so ready to start a new chapter in her life in a patient, compassionate home with people who are ready to learn about caring for a blind cat while giving her all the love she so richly deserves. Adoption fees include a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated. Cats are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Please note there may be additional follow-up visits.
