My story

Meet Esme, a five-month-old Southern sweetheart with a velvety black coat and an even softer heart. At five months old and just under 30 pounds, she’s got some growing to do, but don't be fooled—Esme can't wait to curl up in your lap for a nap after an exciting play session! Originally from Tennessee, Esme brings a touch of charm wherever she goes. She’s playful, affectionate, and always up for a cuddle, making her the kind of companion who turns every day into something a little more special. Like any young pup, Esme is still learning the ropes and will benefit from some basic training, but she’s eager to please and even more eager to love. If this animal is located at our Manhattan Adoption Center, head in to meet them and see if you are a match! We are a same-day adoption center, and an application does not put you on a list or hold an animal for you. If they are in Wantagh or in a foster home, please submit an online application and our team will reach out to further discuss the adoption process. Prior to adoption, all of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and given their age-appropriate vaccines.
