Meet Mavis – A True Hero Kitty Ready for Her Happy Ending Mavis is a stunning 2-3-year-old tortoiseshell with a heart as big as her beautiful eyes. Once a street survivor, this extraordinary girl stepped up as a surrogate mom to raise countless kittens in a bustling, cat-filled home. She was a nurturing, adaptable, and gentle presence—one of three tortie queens who co-parented litters together in harmony. Her mothering days are behind her now, and she’s ready to finally be the one who gets spoiled. Having missed out on her own kittenhood, Mavis is rediscovering the joys of play—chasing toys and frolicking with kittens like she’s making up for lost time. Her sweet and affectionate nature shines through more each day, now that she’s safe, well-fed, and no longer in survival mode. Mavis came to us thin and exhausted, but with good food (she loved her Iam’s kitten kibble—up to two cups a day!) and a quiet place to recover, she blossomed into the healthy, loving cat she was always meant to be. Now, she dreams of a forever home where she can be the one receiving love, attention, and a warm lap to curl up on.
