Meet Luke: The Fun-Loving, Tail-Chasing Dynamo! Don’t let the name fool you—Luke is a sweet girl who will steal your heart with her endless energy and goofy antics! At 1 year old old and 60 lbs, Luke is a Shepherd mix with a playful spirit and a heart full of love. Whether she’s chasing her tail, practicing gymnastics, or hiding her toy in a secret spot (and forgetting about it), Luke will have you laughing all day long. Luke’s happy demeanor is matched by her eager-to-please attitude. She loves her walks, meeting new friends (both human and canine), and is always excited to make new connections—she knows no strangers! This brave little adventurer is as determined as she is sweet. Rescued at just 2 months old from a high-traffic neighborhood in Houston, she’s come a long way since then. She’s mastered commands like Sit, Shake, and Leave it, and is working hard on her “Stay” and house training. Luke even invented her own trick, “Give me ten!” where she gives you a double-high-five—talk about a show-off! Luke might just think she’s a cat! She loves sitting in boxes, perching on high places like picnic tables, and watching the world go by from your lap (if she fits!). Among her favorite things are bouncy toys, peanut butter popsicles, tummy rubs, running full speed, and splashing in the pool. She’s always the first to lead the charge into new adventures, and her zest for life is contagious. Luke is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative, microchipped, and dewormed. Currently being fostered in Texas, she’s available for adoption in the Pacific Northwest through transport.
