This adorable ACD mix was rescued from a shelter with her brother and has been settling into foster life like a champ. When she first arrived, she was shy and unsure, sticking close to her crate and cautiously watching the world go by. But over time, Kit has blossomed into a playful, affectionate pup who’s learning that the world isn't such a scary place after all. Kit’s daily routine is structured to help her feel secure. She wakes up around 7am, heads out for a potty break, and has some playful zoomies with her foster sibling before breakfast. She spends time in her crate while her foster mom works from home, and then enjoys play breaks, meals, and enrichment throughout the day. She’s still a bit nervous about new things, but now she’ll sniff around and investigate —and that’s a huge win. Kit loves playing with her small foster dog buddy—wrestling, chasing, toy-sharing, and even napping together. While she’s not much of a cuddler, Kit loves kisses and affection and will happily give you a smooch or two. She isn’t clingy, but she does like to know where her people are. She’s curious, observant, and extremely responsive to her environment— making her a great candidate for continued training. She’s still working on her potty training- she’s learning to “ask” to go outside and shows great promise with the right routine. Crate training is a work in progress, and a patient, dog experienced adopter who can help build her confidence will be key. Kit is a active puppy who needs both physical and mental stimulation. She hasn't gone on walks yet, but leash training has started indoors and she's doing well. She’s a strong chewer, so hard toys are a must, and she enjoys keeping herself busy with toys (or socks—her favorite treasure to “bury” in secret spots around the house). The ideal home for Kit An active adopter with a training plan and a heart full of patience. She’d love a dog sibling to play with and learn from, and she needs someone committed to helping her learn and grow. Kit is a bright, intuitive pup who is eager to learn and connect with her humans. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will grow alongside you—and maybe even bury your socks as a sign of love—then Kit might just be your girl. June 15, 2025, 11:27 am
