My story

I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog I:11Looking for a one-of-a-kind companion who's equal parts goofy, affectionate, and adventurous? Meet Neo, a 2-year-old, 40-pound husky mix with a zest for life and three speedy legs! Neo is an energetic, joyful pup who loves to zoom, play chase, and lean in for snuggles after a good romp. He’s a playful goofball who enjoys doggy friends with similar energy, but he’d also be happy as your solo sidekick with plenty of people time. Neo is super affectionate—he’ll gently wedge himself into your lap for cuddles and takes treats with the softest mouth. While in a temporary foster home to recover from surgery, we found out Neo is still learning the ropes of home life and would thrive with a family experienced with huskies or willing to put in the training time. He can be a little mouthy and mischievous (think: redecorating with potted plants!), but with structure, activity, and love, he’s bound to shine. Neo is best suited for an adult-only home or one with dog-savvy teens.
