My story

Stella was just recently the most amazing Mama cat to 6 kittens, yet she is still a playful kitten herself… Her rough start at life makes her a little bit weary of new people and environments, but once she warms up she is the most loyal of companions. She loves to lay in the sun spots shining through the window while you scratch behind her ear. If you’re looking for a kitty to keep you company on your desk while you work, Stella’s your girl!  She would be best in a single pet household.  She did live with her brother when rescued but perhaps because of her hormones and protective nature while raising her kittens, she would sometimes show unprovoked naughtiness towards him and the resident dogs in the home.   Stella will be waiting to meet you at our weekly adoption event on Saturday, 12-4pm, PetSmart Bleachery Blvd.  Apply to adopt to be the first to meet her.  All cats are spayed/neutered, current on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, FELV/FIV tested, dewormed and started on monthly flea preventative.           All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.
