My story

Lupin continues to settle in with his foster mama fantastically! He is just the coolest dude. 😎Everyone who sees him says he has the most beautiful eyes and is a very handsome gentleman. We have established Lupin knows sit and down. And when treats are involved he is enthusiastic about performing these actions. 😂 We are working on teaching him some puzzle games as his exercise restrictions mean we need to keep his brain busy! Lupin is a very special boy 💜 🐾 Approximately 2 year old Husky, male, neutered 🐾 Approximately 55 lbs🐾 Heartworm Positive - Under Treatment🐾 Temperament is very typical of the breed. He is friendly, active, and a little stubborn🐾His ideal home will need to understand the breed and the dedication needed to keep him calm while he is recovering from treatment (i.e. lots of short walks every day). I would also recommend fenced in back yard with 6 ft+ fence if off leash. This breed likes to RUN (he would make a great running partner once off restrictions) 🐾No recall yet🐾NOT cat or small animal friendly. We're still trying with cats, but he chases them. 🐾Very good on the leash, but will take the mile if you give him an inch🐾Excellent in the crate🐾Excellent in the house (does not mark) 🐾Great in the Jeep 🐾Good with other calm and friendly dogs🐾Not suitable for young children (shows intolerance to being poked and prodded) 🐾Friendly with older children and adults, but will try to jump if allowed (we're working on it) 🐾Complete love bug 💜🐾55lb lap dog🐾SHEDS... A lot🐾Mole hunter🐾Muzzle trainedPlease check out our adoption process & on-line application here: https://www.newhopepetrescue.com/Adoption Fee for dogs cover the following vetting:1.
