Judy is a gorgeous calico cat with a story as colorful as her coat. Surrendered to our shelter in March while pregnant, this resilient girl gave birth to seven healthy kittens — Josie, Jordan, Jeremiah, Jason, Jared, Jamie, and Jake — and lovingly raised them in the safety of one of our incredible foster homes. Like many calicos, Judy is an independent spirit. At first, she wasn’t quite sure how she felt about being handled by her foster mom, but with time, patience and gentle care, Judy let her guard down and revealed her true nature — sweet, affectionate and loving. Calico Fun Fact: Calicos aren’t a breed. Instead, calico is a color pattern found in several cat breeds. They’re known for their distinctive tri-colored coats and are almost always female due to genetics. They’re also often described as having “cattitude” — strong-willed, unique and full of personality. And Judy fits the bill in the best way possible. Now that her kittens can be independent, Judy has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and finally ready to enjoy a life of her own — as someone’s cherished companion. If you believe trust is earned and love is worth the wait, Judy may be the perfect match for you. The shelter is open Tuesdays through Fridays 3:30-6:30pm AND Saturdays & Sundays 1pm-4pm. No appointments are needed during those times. If you are not available during those times, special arrangements for a meet and greet may be able to be arranged by emailing arfcats@bereaanimalrescue.com. Thank you for considering the adoption of a shelter animal in need!
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Judy, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
