My story

Chowder is a 4-year-old husky who has been through more than his fair share of hardship, but you’d never know it by the way he loves. When he arrived in our care, he couldn’t use his back legs at all due to medical neglect, but with patience, love, acupuncture, and swim therapy, this sweet soul is now walking on all fours and stealing hearts with every step. Chowder is mellow for a husky (yes, really!), with a gentle nature and the softest woo-woos you’ve ever heard. He enjoys wrestling with dog friends who match his chill vibe and will absolutely melt into your lap for belly rubs and snuggles. Chowder still goes to swim therapy once a week, and we’re committed to continuing that support as he gets even stronger. He’s never met a human he didn’t adore and is looking for a foster or forever family to call his own. Chowder isn’t just a survivor, he’s a reminder that healing is possible when love leads the way.
