My story

Hello, my name is: Dewey DOB: 10/19/2021Weight: 24.6 lbs.Sex/Breed: Neuterd male Cavalier King Charles SpanielRescued From: Breeding kennelDewey came to All 4 Paws from a commercial breeding facility after he was no longer wanted for breeding purposes. He is understandably shy given his past and needs time to learn what his new life will be like as a beloved pet. Dewey is doing well in his foster home and is slowly realizing what a dog’s life should be! He has been nothing but sweet through it all and desperately wants to trust the people around him. He has been great with other dogs of all sizes and seems to find comfort in their company. He`s following the lead of the pups in his foster home and is much more confident with his canine pals around. For this reason, we are looking for a forever home with a resident dog or two to help show him the ropes. He’d be fine living with cats too. Walking on a leash is new to Dewey so he would do best with a fenced yard where he can experience the outdoors safely. Given his shyness, we are looking for a quieter home with older or no kids for him to feel comfortable. Dewey is such a special boy who has what it takes to be a wonderful pet.
