My story

Marco is a sweet, sensitive 1-year-old, 55 lb female Malinois/German Shepherd mix with a heart full of love and resilience. She was rescued in May from a heartbreaking hoarding and breeding situation in Queens, NY, where 48 dogs were found living in unimaginable conditions—crammed into a small apartment, covered in filth. Thanks to the ASPCA and NYCACC, they were finally freed, and Korean K9 Rescue was able to take a few in, including our girl Marco. Today, Marco is thriving in foster care with the help of an experienced Malinois dog trainer in Orwigsburg, PA. Because she’s doing so well with her current routine and training, we’re prioritizing adopters within a 50-mile radius to maintain that momentum. Marco is playful, energetic, and loves her walks. She’d do best in a home with one other dog, but no cats or young kids (under 10), as she can be a bit too bouncy. Her ideal match is someone with Malinois or working dog experience—someone who enjoys hiking, long walks, and sees training as a bonding experience. She’s healthy, fully vetted, and emotionally blossoming. She adores affection, gives the sweetest kisses, and will make a truly loyal companion. Training support is included, though a training fee and a $450 adoption fee apply. Applications outside the area may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Ready to meet this amazing girl?
