My story

Meet Munchie! A golden-and-white Chihuahua mix currently living in Burbank, CA, who at thirteen years old is still as sprightly as a pup when it comes to sunshine, belly rubs, and a good old-fashioned game of fetch. Weighing in at 13 pounds, this charming little fellow is a delightful blend of seasoned wisdom and playful mischief, and he’s ready to brighten the days of a new caring family! Munchie is the kind of dog who can make even the laziest afternoon feel like an event. He adores stretching out in a sunny spot for a nap, burrowing under blankets for cozy snoozes, or zipping around with his signature “zoomies” in the park. Despite his senior status, he still carries the energy to chase a squirrel or two, always with his happy trot and signature grin on display! His favorite activities include playing with canine friends his size, soaking up belly rubs and rump scratches, and sharing peaceful strolls outside. A true gentleman, Munchie is both crate-trained and house-trained, with a repertoire of classic tricks like sit, paw, and lay down. He’s friendly with people, wonderful with children, and enjoys the company of other dogs. Cats, however, are another story. Munchie would much prefer a feline-free household, where his playful instincts won’t get the best of him. This sweet boy does have Irritable Bowel Disease (IBD), which he manages beautifully with a low-fat, poultry-based diet. Cooking his meals has proven to be the best approach, so a family willing to continue this simple act of care will be giving Munchie exactly what he needs to thrive. With his gentle nature, love for routine, and heart full of sunshine, Munchie is searching for a new calm, nurturing home where he can continue his joyful habits. Whether that’s soaking up rays in the yard, dozing on the couch while his family is away, or proudly trotting alongside them on a walk.
