My name is Iguana and I am from Texas! From her foster: Meet Iguana (Iggy)! From the scared pup in the back of the kennel to a silly and goofy girl who loves to play, walk, and is great in the car. A little about Iguana: She does great in a kennel (makes it 7-8 hours at night), potty trained, walks awesome on a leash, loves walks, super in the car, smart, funny and playful. She is super gentle. She’s quiet 99% of the time. She is going to be an awesome addition to someone’s family. She hasn’t played with other dogs since being with me and is non-reactive when on walks. She was with other dogs in Texas. I am thinking she may be okay with cats, but not sure. Iguana will take time to warm up to new people and places. Since she's been in my care, she loves for me to touch her, pet her, snuggle and she’s my little shadow. We are working on calm introductions to help her gain confidence with others through gentle friends, polite kids, liverwurst and hot dogs. 🤣 She’s not food motivated, so still trying to explore more treats she likes. An ideal home could be: A female presence. Older kids (she has been around my 3 and 6 year old grandkids and was barking at them initially and now just leaves them). Fenced yard would be helpful for zoomies. Someone who can continue to help teach her that people aren’t bad. I am sure she will warm up to a family given time and with patience. "
