Meet Callie – Your Low-Rider, High-Energy Best Friend! Looking for a loyal companion who’s equal parts snuggle bug and fetch champion? Look no further than Callie, a sweet and spunky 3-year-old terrier mix with a heart full of love and a body that’s… well, uniquely her own! At approximately 50 pounds, Callie rocks the stocky charm of a basset hound with the playful spirit of a terrier — and no, that’s not a typo. She’s just built for hugs and zoomies! What Callie Loves: Humans, humans, humans! While she gets along well with other dogs, Callie is truly a people pup. She thrives when she’s around her humans and is happiest being part of the action. Tennis balls! Her foster family reports that Callie lives for a game of fetch and will happily entertain you with her retrieving skills for as long as you’ll throw. Cuddles & Companionship. Whether she’s snoozing on the bed or curled up at your feet, Callie just wants to be near you. Her Good Girl Credentials: Crate trained ✔️ Potty trained ✔️ Sleeps through the night ✔️ Expert snuggler ✔️ Callie is working on her leash manners — she’s eager to explore and sometimes forgets to walk at a human pace — but with a little consistency and exercise, she’s sure to improve. A fenced yard would be a bonus for her playtime, but it's not a deal-breaker. She’s previously done well with an electric fence, too. Ideal Home: Callie would love an active home that can provide her with regular playtime, walks, and, of course, all the tennis balls. She’d do best in a cat-free household, and while she’s dog-friendly, she much prefers the company of people. She’s the kind of dog who bonds deeply with her humans and will be your most loyal sidekick.
