My story

Summit is a 1.5-year-old, 15-pound male Westie mix from Alabama! Cupcake is a joyful, friendly, and affectionate pup. He has adjusted very well during his time in the city. Cupcake enjoys long walks, lots of physical affection, and snuggling up on the couch. He is still learning commands like "sit," but comes when called and is very food-motivated. During his time with his foster family, he seems to be housetrained.  Summit is great on a leash. He can be a quick walker because he gets so excited about the smells, people, and dogs in the city. He loves to say hello to fellow canines and eagerly accepts scratches from anyone who offers. His forever family will need to continue working with Summit to reinforce and advance the progress he's been making. Summit has done well when left alone during the day. As long as he gets a long walk in the morning and evening, he sleeps peacefully all day at home. He loves to be cozy with his foster family and can often be found with his favorite teddy bear. Summit is looking for a medium active family. He appreciates downtime and active moments. He is currently thriving as a solo dog, but since he loves other dogs it would be great to have another dog in the home. Summit has not been exposed to children, but he loves all people and has never shown any signs of aggression, so we think he will do fine with children.  Vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, and bordetella. Neutered, microchipped, and heartworm negative. Current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. To apply for Summit, visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for an adoption application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the dog is on our website, they are still available. Waggytail Rescue CANNOT guarantee the exact age of any adoptable dog, or final size of any of our adoptable puppies. We rely on the information provided to us by veterinarians, shelters, owner surrenders and other circumstances bringing the dog into our rescue. Adoptions: adopt@waggytailrescue.org ##2430809##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Summit, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
