My story

Meet Cowboy, a 2 year old sensitive soul with a big heart and even bigger energy! This handsome pup was recently surrendered by his previous owner and is now looking for a fresh start with someone who understands his unique needs. Cowboy may be shy or timid at first, but once he warms up, he’s incredibly affectionate and loves to cuddle up close to his trusted people. Cowboy has a high energy level and thrives in a home where he can be active, engaged, and given outlets for both physical and mental stimulation. He’s happiest when he has room to run and especially loves playing in the water—splashing, swimming, or simply lounging near a pond or kiddie pool. He’s also housetrained, knows basic commands, and would benefit from continued structure and positive reinforcement to help build his confidence. Because of his timid nature, Cowboy would do best in an adult-only home where things are calm and predictable. He does not do well with kids or cats, but he gets along well with other dogs, especially those who are similar in size and energy level. A confident canine companion could help him feel more at ease in new situations. Cowboy is looking for a patient, dog-savvy adopter who can provide gentle guidance, consistency, and a safe space where he can truly come into his own.
