My story

Shortwave A17562055 lb. neutered male, approx 3 years old -Walks nicely on leash-Once outside in the yard he explored a little and then laid down in the sun-He will sometimes submissively roll over if nervous-I sat next to him and he pawed at me for attention. He loves pets.-He has mange and has little to no hair on his belly and neck areas. He is going to be oh so handsome when it all grows back!-He’s very sweet and calm-He likes treats. He “sits” occasionally but mostly just lays down. Takes them very nicely. -He loves to army crawl over and paw at you for attention-He’s also a good snuggler!-Good boy who needs a little time and patience….and his hair to grow back!-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids•Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt •Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. •Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. •There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. •To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.** •The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-5:30 **1431 E Ferry St. Detroit
