My story

Levi is the most perfect gentleman that is ready to charm his way into your heart! He recently arrived from a partner shelter in Tennessee and quickly captured our hearts. We call him our perfect boy, and so far he can do no wrong! Everyone is obsessed with Levi. He loves to impress people with everything he knows, like 'sit' and 'paw'. He walks well on leash, is a friend to all, and enjoys hanging out with the other dogs! We introduced Levi to a group of volunteers with developmental disabilities, and he was the most perfect and charming boy. He soaked up all the attention and was not bothered by any sounds or movements that may have startled another dog. Levi is ready to be the perfect pup for his forever family! Levi's adoption fee is $300. This animal is neutered and is up to date on core vaccines. Levi is Heartworm positive and is undergoing treatment with us. Levi's sending shelter started him on the less-invasive "slow-kill method." Levi needs a topical treatment once a month for the next 3 months to complete this treatment. Then, an adopter will retest at their own vet. Heartland will cover the cost of treatment until they are heartworm negative. Heartworm is not contagious to other dogs or people; it is a mosquito-borne disease. It is both preventable and curable! Once cured, there are no long term health effects associated with having Heartworm.
