My story

Hi, I'm Pearl! I'm a 64-lb Labrador Retriever and I'm 6 years old. According to those who've met me, I'm a real treasure!  General Behavior: Pearl is an easygoing gal who just wants snuggles, snacks, and a family to love. She will relax near you while you are working, and when you are ready to give her attention, she LOVES pats and will snuggle up next to you on the couch. (She is working on learning how to share the couch and give the humans enough room). She is a very happy girl and rarely barks.  Likes & Dislikes: Pearl's favorite things include love and human attention. She particularly gravitates towards men, and loves cuddling with her foster dad.  Training: This clever Lab is an extremely smart cookie! She knows basic commands already and is housetrained if let out regularly. She needs a bit more practice walking on a leash, but other than that, she generally has good basic manners.  Medical: Along with the usual flea and tick preventatives, Pearl takes Apoquel for allergies (which costs about $75/month). Other Animals: Pearl is good with other dogs of all sizes. She was even good with the vet's cat!   Children: Patient Pearl is good with children of all ages. Home: Most any type of home-- from an apartment to a condo to a single-family home-- would work well for this laidback gal.  Grooming: This affectionate girl loves a spa day! She enjoys having baths and benefits from occasional bathing with medicated shampoo at home or at the groomer.  Overall: This lovely Lab will be an excellent companion for a lucky family.  Is Pearl the best friend you've been looking for?
