My story

Dakota is a darling Mantle Great Dane puppy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She’s cute, cuddly, and full of puppy charm—just the kind of girl who melts into your arms and then follows you from room to room, wanting nothing more than to be near her person. Dakota is doggy door trained and already mastering the art of home life. She even handles stairs like a pro! While she’s still learning how to walk politely on a leash, she’s eager to please and will thrive with gentle, consistent training. This sweet girl does have a bit of food bowl guarding, likely stemming from uncertainty about food availability in her past. With patience and understanding, she’s learning that mealtime is safe and reliable now. Dakota gets along well with others but would do best in a home that respects her need for space while she eats. What Dakota wants most is her human’s attention—she’s a Velcro pup through and through, happiest when she’s close by and included in everything. If you’re looking for a lovable shadow who will snuggle up close and make you smile every day, Dakota is ready to claim a spot in your heart (and probably your lap!).
