My story

Hi there, I’m Roscoe, a 7-month-old Husky/Border Collie mix with big ears, a soft heart, and a whole lot of love to give. I even have a marble eye. I may be young, but I’ve already learned so much about life, love, and loyalty. I’m a mellow, gentle soul who just wants to be close to my people—like, really close. I’ve got a little bit of separation anxiety, which means I get pretty anxious when I’m left alone, even if you’re just in the next room. But I promise, it’s only because I love you so much and I feel safest when you’re near. I’m working on it, though, and I’m trying really hard to be brave. I’m doing great with potty training—almost nailed it! I had a bit of a rough day recently (hey, nobody’s perfect), but I’m back on track now and eager to please. I sleep happily in my crate at night, and I even like to hang out in there during the day. I run straight in when it’s mealtime! I know how to sit and lie down, and we’re working on stay—I’m a quick learner when you’re patient and kind. I walk nicely on a leash (just a little tension, but no pulling), and I get along well with other dogs, kids, and even cats. I’ve got this amazing ability to match the energy of whoever I’m with—whether it’s a zoomy puppy buddy or a laid-back adult dog, I’m happy to play or just chill out by your side. When I meet new people, I can be a little shy at first. But give me a moment, some gentle words, and a few pets—and I’ll be melting into you in no time. I love affection and I’ll soak up all the love you have to give. I’m neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, and ready for the next chapter of my life—with someone who sees not just my potential, but the big, soft heart that’s already there.
