My story

Meet Mezcal â&#194&#128&#194&#148 a stunning little survivor with mesmerizing eyes and a heart full of grit. Found injured in the community, Mezcalâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s journey began at a private vet before she was transferred to Dallas Animal Services. With a degloved tail and an injured hind leg, she needed more care than DAS could provide â&#194&#128&#194&#148 and that's when I knew I had to help her heal. Mezcalâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s story is one of true perseverance. Just days after settling into her foster home, she was diagnosed with panleukopenia â&#194&#128&#194&#148 a tough illness for any kitten. But true to her nature, she fought hard and bounced back with remarkable speed. Despite a rough start, her energy and affection have been steadily growing, and sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s become a moderately active, sweet, and curious companion. She still has one more hurdle ahead â&#194&#128&#194&#148 a partial tail amputation â&#194&#128&#194&#148 but if her past is any indication, sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153ll handle it with grace and strength. Mezcal is the kind of cat who reminds you how powerful resilience can be. Sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s gentle, loving, and ready for a forever home where she can finally enjoy the comfort, care, and companionship she so deeply deserves. Whoever gets to love her next is in for a very special bond. Mexcal is available for pre-adopt only at this time as she is not old enough to move to a forever home, but applications can still be completed. Applications for pre-adopt are processed in the order they are received. All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption. The standard minimum donation for cats over six months to seven years is $100, kittens under six months is $150, cats eight years and over are $50 unless specified otherwise.
