My story
Meet Mayor, a gentle soul rescued from heartbreaking neglect in Sumter County, Florida. He arrived with raw, damaged skin, covered in fleas and ticks, and suffering from severe hair loss. Timid and unsure, Mayor is slowly learning that not all people will hurt him. He’s currently working on leash training and potty training, taking small steps each day toward a brighter future. Mayor is also heartworm positive, but he’s safe now and will receive full treatment here at Big Dog. With patience and love, Mayor has a chance to finally know what it means to be cared for.
