My story

Clementine is a 3-year-old Shepherd mix whose story could have ended in heartbreak—but instead, it’s become one of transformation and hope. She was found tied to a pole by the Phoenix Police Department and brought to the Veterinary Emergency Group for urgent care. That’s where our Director first met her—and instantly knew Clementine belonged with us. When she arrived at Sky Sanctuary, Clementine’s skin was in rough shape and her spirit was understandably shaken. But with the expert care of our partners at Dermatology for Animals, her health steadily improved. Day by day, she healed—both physically and emotionally—and her beautiful light began to shine again. Clementine also recently completed a 5-week board and train program with Sofus Dog Training, where she worked hard on basic obedience, confidence building, and managing her separation anxiety with structure and support. She’s made incredible progress and is ready to bring all she’s learned into her forever home. Now fully adoptable, Clementine is ready to meet her perfect match! She is resilient, intelligent, affectionate, and so deserving of someone who will see her for the incredible dog she truly is.
