My story

Churro is a wiggly, affectionate little lady with a big personality and an even bigger heart. From the moment you see her tiny nose pressed to her kennel door, you’ll be smitten, and once she starts her signature full-body wiggle, resistance is futile! Churro is super social and absolutely adores people. Whether she’s greeting volunteers with joyful tail wags or cozying up for some all-over pets, she’s always ready to spread the love. She’s food motivated, knows “sit,” and will eagerly catch tossed treats like a pro! Outside, Churro walks fairly well on leash, seems house-trained, and enjoys exploring while checking in often for affection. She’s met other pups politely and could be a fun addition to a home with dog friends. Sweet, snuggly, and full of charm, Churro is ready to bounce her way into your heart and your home. When I saw her little body wiggling from head to toe, I couldn’t resist taking her out. She is the most affectionate little gal, soliciting attention from anyone who passed us by. She is a social butterfly who would make the greatest companion to any family home. 06/14/2025 staff notes: A volunteer brought Churro into the office, and she was an absolute sweetheart—wiggly and full of charm! She happily greeted and made friends with several volunteers, welcoming all the pets. She loved getting treats and even showed off some solid catching skills! 06/13/2025 volunteer notes: Churro was standing with a wiggle body and mid level tail wags in her crate. She was easily to leash and only pulls moderately. She seems house trained as she peed and pooped outside. Outside, Churro was very loose and solicited attention. She continued to have a mid level tail wag and soft eyes. She had a brief on leash meet with Hailey. She was interested in Hailey and mostly sniffed her. Inside the office, Churro greeted everyone in the room with full body wiggles. She had a fast wagging tail and tippy tapped her feet. She allows petting all over and leans into you for love. Churro seems very food motivated. She was very focused on the handler when they were distributing treats. She can be a bit snatchy at times so it’s best to give them a toss to her, she just might catch it! Churro knows sit and waits patiently for her reward. She chased after toys but never took possession. She returned to her crate with no issue. Her leash was easily removed. Green with recommendation to toss treats or give them with an open hand!
