He spent close to two years in very poor conditions before coming to Nexus. Since moving into his foster home, he has been adjusting at his own pace and learning “how to be a cat” again. He gets along incredibly well with the other cats in the home and especially enjoys spending time and playing with the other male cat.He loves soft beds, watching birds from the window, exploring, and playing with almost any toy. He also uses a cardboard scratcher and appreciates having a safe place to retreat when he needs a break. Occasionally, his curiosity leads him to knock over a trash can to see what’s inside.When he first arrived, Wesley needed several weeks before he started to trust. Now he actively seeks out attention, enjoys scratches and pets, and sleeps in bed with his foster mom every night. He continues to build confidence each day.Because busy store environments would be overwhelming for him, Wesley will need to be adopted directly from his foster home. He will do best with a patient adopter who will let him set the pace and continue his progress. With time, he can be a loving and playful companion - and he’s stunning to look at.Wesley`s adoption fee is $100, and he is neutered, microchipped, negative for FeLV/FIV, has age-appropriate vaccines, and been given flea prevention.
